Hello, friends! 👋
You’re doing amazing, and I’m so proud of your progress so far! 💛
Today, we’re going to explore a small but interesting pronunciation tip that’ll make your Korean sound even more natural!

🔍 Today’s Rule

When ㅎ (h) is followed by ㅇ (ng),
➡️ the ㅎ sound disappears in pronunciation!

Yes, that’s right — the ㅎ gets dropped and becomes silent.

🧠 Why does this happen?

The sound is a light, breathy sound.
When it's followed by a smooth sound like , it often becomes too soft to hear — so in real speech, it just disappears.

This makes the sentence flow more naturally and is easier to pronounce quickly.

📘 Examples

하얗어요 ha-ya-heo-yo 하얗어요 하야어요 (ha-ya-eo-yo) It was white
